Artist Statement Bio

Brett was born September 19th 1981 the son of James and Suzanne, brother of Renee the grandson of Robert and Julia Drayton and Nick and Mary Wade. Brett’s grandfather, Robert, was largely influential in my desire to invest in art. My Father was a great influence.

If I have a measure of success it's been because I've chosen the high or the low road, anything else was luke warm. I have had ups and downs, but through it all One Greater has been there for me, so in turn I would like to be there for you. The spirit has won me over, Id like you to experience their grace and sacrifice.

I lived in Hilliard, Ohio until age 16

At age 16 I drew a self portrait that won a Scholastic Gold Key and the year prior a portrait of a girl that received an honorable mention under instruction of art teacher Jan Dewey. She was keenly aware of how fragile I was during those years.

From age 17 I lived in Dublin, Ohio and graduated high school from Dublin Coffman in 2000.

While attending Ohio State University from 2000 to 2005 I became more spiritually oriented and less religious. I desire that art could be an expression of creativity and worship. I desire to see people drawn to Love and experience His freedom. This Vibe is Open Tolerance!
