Artist Statement I am a painter and a graphic artist and I have diligently worked and educated myself in a variety of fields. Although I graduated at The Academy of fine Arts and at The Faculty of Ecomomics, my hunger for knowledge hasn´t stopped there. I love to read and improve myself in every posssible way, but my true success, from a broader perspective is considering spiritual growth: improving my reactions, observing my thoughts and feelings,winning in those little victories of our everyday life, and loosing of course, trying not to be too judgmental, learning from mistakes and incorporating them into my canvas of life in harmonius way, if possible.
My creative process is very intuitive, based on spontaneous decisions in the moment. Although narrative at first sight, it is a blend of figurative and abstract imagery. It is a combination of fractal informed shapes, layered archetypal imagery, and detailed graphic surfaces rich in vivid color. Most of my works are oil on canvases and I have found this technic the most suitable for my needs in this creative phase, and I use it to form a structure for various imaginative subconscious contents to emerge. So the canvas becomes a screen for these projetions, fitered through the eye of the reason. I always want my paintings to have a story behind.
