Artist Statement I have always enjoyed art as a source of personal well-being and as a creative outlet. It recently occured to me that I can pursue this dream without the degree and turn it into a career. I currently attend VCU as a clinical psychology major with a concentration in pre-med. I am untrained as some would say in the field of art, but art was always my love. Hopefully that helps! I teach school age children at a private school in Midlothian, Virginia. I love working with children and became interested in psychology after learning about the benefits of art therapy. I have a continued interest in the area of art therapy and the psychological benefits of art.
