Artist Statement I strive for a quality of stillness and peace in my photos. I think that is what I like best about the medium of photography--the ability to capture the essence of a place and time through the isolation of a single moment--leaves floating in the water, serene landscapes, moments of rest or reflection.

I work digitally, and enjoy the painterly quality of manipulated images. I am often inspired by nature. I also appreciate the interplay of colors, textures, and shapes.
