Artist Statement I have always dabbled in art throughout my life, but only recently have taken it seriously. I discovered Pastels in 2013 while undertaking a class on animal portraiture. This medium has fast become my favourite, with the pure colours and immediate application it offers.

My subject of choice is Wildlife as I feel Pastels give so much depth to the eyes and coat of each subject, which does justice to these magnificent creatures. I also love experimenting with other mediums such as Acrylic, Oils and Charcoal.

Through my work, I hope to raise awareness for these animals as I fear they will not be around for future generations to see unless we change the way we selfishly consume everything this planet has to offer.
