Description My Soul portraits evoke feeling and emotion through colors and brushstrokes.I want the viewer to see a part of themselves in the story on canvas. To engage in the art , not just observe.Everyone has a story to tell, and art is a language with no barriers.Haute:Haute is the image of a young woman caught up in a material world that surrounds her. The soul is buried beneath layers of outworldly possessions that her ego takes on. Young and dangerous, she exists.

Artist Statement Born in Northern Virginia & the beautiful Shenandoah Valley,
Sheila spent much of her earlier years training in art. Raised in a family of artists, her natural talent was developed at a young age
from her mother, a fine oil painter.

Sheila emphasizes the universal nature of art, a language that crosses all borders and cultures containing both raw energy and physical imagery..

“ Painting to me is searching to find the direction that is both stimulating and rewarding to my own soul. My transition went from traditional studies of the Classics, to Contemporary methods, and everything in between. It is the nature of the Artist to search for self and this is my journey, one which will continue to evolve and change. “
