Artist Statement For as long as I can remember I’ve been an Artist. My maternal Grandfather was a painter and a photographer, so perhaps it was in my genes to follow in his footsteps. At 18 I won the School Art Prize and went on to study Art at the Norwich School of Art in the UK. Oh, did I mention that I’m English? I moved to the United States in 1999 at the ripe old age of 29 and have been living here ever since. First in Boston and then in 2001, I moved with my husband to Florida.

My first encounter with Photography was at school where my wonderfully accommodating and encouraging Art Teacher, Mr Porter, had my friends and I build our own dark room in the closet. If I close my eyes, I can still smell the chemicals we used to develop the pictures, and if I’m honest…. I kind of miss it in a way. It almost feels like cheating to be able to pull my pictures instantly off the camera and develop them in my “digital darkroom”. Then again…. I never was all that patient, so in reality, probably not so much!

So, the website address here will take you to my Portrait Studio, and here you'll find everything else!

Enjoy!
