Artist Statement The adage "the design is in the details" is the Dog Dances philosophy. We at the Studio hope that out attention to detail comes through in all that we do. Good customer relations is key to our business and we definitely rely on repeat customers.

Dog Dances actually started out as Cuddlebun's Creations named for Cuddles on 2000. From there it evolved into The Lilac Pit Bull Boutique in 2004. In 2007 we examined our goals and polled people on their thoughts of our name. The consensus was just about unanimous. People were under a preconcieven notion that we only had pit bull items in our store. That is far from the truth.

The day I drew the Dancin' cartoon of Dilly enjoying life the way she does, I had in the back of my mind that this could be an awesome logo for something. The whole cartoon phase is still going strong with new designs. As I looked at them emerging, I kept thinking these dogs are SO enjoying life. Then I'd look at the Dancin' picture. Dogs and Dancin', then voila` Dog Dances came to me. We are branching out more with Studio typ Art so it made sense to add the Studios to the name. My slogan also was thanks to the dogs. As I found myself doing more and more action shots, The Art of the Active Dog made perfect sense.

As I thought of new projects and liked what came of them, I added them to the custom parts of the shop. The stones in Stonework section are all individual and one of a kind. The designs/ breeds on here can be duplicated and personalized but no two stones will ever be the same. These are done by hand and as such, impossible to be identical.

From the stone I went to glass etching. That was and is FUN! Again all glassware items are one of a kind that. From glass I tried ceramics. My mother used to do ceramics extensively and sometimes she'd let me glaze and fire a piece. The ceramics I'm in the process of doing now are all food safe glazes and leaning towards plates, bowls, coffee mugs, and cup and saucer sets. I'm pretty excited about the debut of the line in a month or so.

The jewelry is also a new addition to the Studio. I found the joy of polymer clay and semi-precious stones. I'm looking forward to getting feedback on this new line.

Dog Dances is also a licensed dealer for Lupine Pet Products.
