Description Lace-cap Hydrangea in my garden, was originally blue but has gradually changed over the years. Digital photograph tinted with original colour photo on seperate layer & brought through in places. Polaroid negative scan for background.
Sarah Robinson, L'Ile-Perrot Member Since May 2008 Artist Statement I've been using a camera since starting high school in the 70s, haven't been without one since that first old brownie. Having the ability to freeze a moment onto film has always been an intriguing idea, my favourite process is the polaroid transfer. (Land 100 camera and slide printer) It has the added element of surprise, no two results are ever the same. I love the textures, the tonal variations, and the uncertainty. The film is now discontinued & hard to find anywhere in Canada, but I'm still looking. Also do emulsion transfers and negative scans, have digital camera and old Konica. Plan to try pinhole photography.
Favourite subjects range from gardens & close-ups to cityscapes, country scenes & kayaking, live music. Photographer for Coffeehouse & Blues at Adair Hall, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Qc.
