Artist Statement I'm an "Army Brat" (son, and grandson, of an Army officer, and itinerant resident of 7 states and Italy as a kid), current Army officer and lawyer, combat veteran (2x), father of three, married to my best friend, and sometime-scholar of civil-military relations theory and criminal law.

Painting has been an on-again, off-again passion for my entire life, and am happy to now have opportunity, time, and just enough persistence to see these to completion! When not at work, writing another law review article, book, or essay (much to my wife's chagrin!), or painting, I can be found building Lego sets and playing architect with Kapla pine wood planks with my kids.
