Artist Statement I started shooting fine art photos at the ripe old age of 16 (I'm now 35!). I was fortunate enough to go to an amazing prep school (Cranbrook) that not only emphasized creativity in all endeavors, but was a living, breathing full on masterpiece (designed by Saarinen).

19 years after my first foray into photography, I'm still in awe when I press the shutter and catch a creative fleeting moment in my camera.

I fine tuned my passion for photography in college at Denison University where I learned how to "make pictures" rather than "take pictures". I devour all things photographic from flickr streams to photo workshops to photo rags. My favorite workshops are held at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, Colorado and Focus Adventures workshops in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

I adore all things photographic, but I'm not too interested in big landscapes or typical sunsets. I live in GORGEOUS Steamboat Springs, Colorado, so, of course, I have many mountain images in my repertoire, but, I'm drawn to abstract angles and unique points of view.

Shooting from the hip is my motto and serendipity is my muse.
