Artist Statement I was born and raised in Southern Ontario. My summers were spent at YMCA camps and the family cottage in Muskoka where I developed a love of the outdoors. In 1980 I earned a degree in Fine Art and Art History from MacMaster University, but it wasn't until 2004 that my talented, now grown daughter finally convinced me to pick up a paint brush once again. I began my private personal full time journey back into the world of light and colour with acrylics on canvas. The majority of my current work is based on information discovered in the beautiful Arden area of Eastern Ontario where I have spent most of the past 10 summers paddling around in a kayak, soaking up the sun and the sights.
