Artist Statement I was born in Lynn, M.A. on January 11, 1983. I had a rather large family, of three sisters and one brother. My mother raised us while my father was not in the picture as they were divorced when I was really young. It was fun growing up with mostly women as an influence. I learned how to braid hair and do make-up before I got my first BB gun. As a child growing up in the white mountains of N.H. most of my playtime became an adventure. I spent most of it outside like any other boy. This became my place to escape the dress-ups, make-up, and many other things the sisters wanted to share with me. There were so many new things out there, animals I had never seen, caves to explore, and trees to climb. I found solitude in these places. I moved a lot through my teen years and lived with father for some of that time. My father was a graphic designer, an artist in his own way. He did not deprive me of anything. He encouraged me to see the world through my own eyes and helped me to be free.I have grown very fond of nature photography. This was easy I always loved the outdoors so why not share the beauty I see. I had other dreams but this was something I was passionate about. Almost anything I could take a shot of would bring on a different emotion. I want to be able to share these feelings and the beauty I capture in my photos with my family, friends and the world. Over the last few years I have grown as a photographer. I truly enjoy taking pictures of almost anything, but my passion still lies in Nature Photography. When I am taking a picture of something, I feel as I am capturing a feeling. This feeling is what I want to share. The best thing is, a shot like this may make me feel intrigued but the next person may feel something entirely different. As an artist I wish to portray the emotions I grasp from my photos, but also to see what others may feel. One simple photo can portray such a different array of emotions and thoughts. This is why I am a photographer.
