Artist Statement Drawing is a frame of mind, a loving embrace, if you will.- Susan Avishai.
I was born in 1977. Since 1996, I love drawing and doing record some people face from other profession, ethnic, country, race or from the past time untill now. The silent gesture speaks more than thousand words, for me it’s a mistery. Thousand years from now, I believe, portrait painting or drawing still exist. Having engaged subjects as diverse as the socialist movement icon, rock music and modernist painting, my work reproduces familiar visual signs, arranging them into new conceptually layered pieces.
My influences are first and foremost everything I see, feel and experience, but I've always loved portrait drawing from Andrew Loomis, Henry Yan, Zimaou Tan, Jan Van Eyck, etc. The artists I most admire are Damien Hirst, Christo, Yves Klein, Francis Bacon, Chuck Close, Yayoi Kusama, and now I am very love artwork illustration from Kim Jung-Gi. I grew up watching films and reading book of history and Art.
