Artist Statement An artist, writer, and entrpreneur Tracy Smith has combined her talents to create a unique presence in the art world. She has established her artistic range through various mediums: poetry, painting, and photography to name a few.
A native of Memphis, Tennessee Tracy expressed her love of art an early age. She developed her skills at the only school for the creative and performing arts, Overton High. Later, she recieved her BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
Currently living in Brooklyn, New York Tracy has expanded her talents even further. With a strong desire to stimulate creative expression within children and the communities, Tracy also serves as an art instructor. 'I am inspired as the children learn through me', states Tracy,'...it is very important to nurture the art in our children and I love being a part of that process.'
Tracy's paintings & photography can be found in numerous public and private collections in the USA and worldwide.
