Artist Statement Carlos Calderon is an Art Photographer, Mixed Media Artist, and Commercial Photographer. Inspired by his father who was also a photographer, Carlos began his interest in photography at the early age of seven. As a graduate from The Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education in 1994, Carlos has worked for various marketing companies, architects, interior designers, and graphic artists. His personal interest in travel, nature, wildlife, ancient cultural traditions, philosophy, sociology, occultism, languages, and multicultural experiences continue to influence his work as an artist.
The unique, sometimes bizarre images that Carlos has captured, reflects his personal vision about the life and preferences that define his work ... a life without borders.
