Artist Statement Welcome to my passion and my art. I was born in Munich Germany to an American Army officer and his Oklahoma farm girl wife and my inspiration, my mother Mildred Katherine Bolt. My father Robert Andrew Bolt had a portrait studio in Canton Ohio in the 1940's before joining the U.S.Army Infantry and entering WWII and the Korean conflict. The art of the visual medium seems to run through our DNA.
My photography reflects my love for the people, places and scenery of Northern California. I love the honesty of a free and open smile. Wings carried aloft by the sweet oceans winds and the powerful surf of the Pacific North West coast, redwood and conifer forests, hillsides punctuated by Black Oak, manzanita, madrone and scented valleys lined with mustard flowers, lupine, wild flowers and eucalyptus trees. The seasonal beauty and symmetry of the vineyards of this lush wine country, the talent of this lands artists and musicians...So much to love and capture through the eye and share with others.
