Artist Statement I love working with contrast & texture. Much of my early work was flat, with little depth. Each piece I completed felt like it was missing something. In 2006, while working in a gallery, I met Dan Addington. His work had more texture & depth than I dreamed possible. His medium consisted of wood, fabric, beeswax & tar (among others). Mesmerized by his work and use of materials, the world of texture broke open before me and I was hooked: I had found the missing piece to my puzzle.
