Description a black and white blend, the grey area is our starpoint domain as we integrate into the dark and light, the negative/yin/female/space part of us with our positive/yang/male/mass part of us.The ongoing struggle of focus and concentration (+) versus relaxing and expansion (-) into our openess...a balancing act everyone struggles with daily. At night our androgenous holy spirit reconnectsa to divine source suspending the ego identity of our self('God') created image and we re-charge our batteries with a sound(less) sleep. The 'Star Of David' symbol interweaves black and white also in a cosmic reminder of all structured being of two intersecting triangles of the Holy Trinity (Father Son & Holy Ghost, DAD MOM & CHILD,Brama (Creator) Vishnu (Sustainer) Shiva (Transformer)an ongoing cycle with Pingala and Ida energy flowing.Remember that all snow flakes/raindrops are a different version of a hexagram. So, this painting reminds us of our selves in our essence.
FRANK CRAVEN, New York City Member Since February 2010 Artist Statement I was born in NYC but grew up in Hidden Hills California (with a horse and pony)
1968 MLK/RFK shot Vietnam etc. My folks took me and sis (Patricia) from the top of Ireland to the bottom of Portugal and settled in Barcelona Spain.
There I studied art with Kieth Patterson and worked alongside the Catalan
artists Carles Briega Bonbon and Salvador Dali to find my own paradigm and school of thought.
I have exhibited at The American Institute of Barcelona and various other galleries,
restaurants, discos and yoga centers...painting wall murals and cielings.
I re-live my italian renaissance lifetime as church muralist and take it to the next level as an ongoing intergalactic ambassador gridding the planet with light and introducing the new merkaba spin, healing mandala art work for hospitals and individuals. Ofcourse I have canvases and sketchpads full of fascinating stories that answer my query about life and the life in between our Earthwalks.
I do not do art, art does me...suddenly I am attacked and find myself in a zone that relinquishes common sense duties, so I don't worry about marketing or professional politics - I make money as an actor, writer, musician and sometimes as an artist but I can only paint when my muse(s) crank a swift kick in my butt. Art does me, I don't do art....
