Description Awesome sheep on a farm in Middeleway, WV, near my home. The Jacob sheep is a rare breed of small, piebald (colored with white spots), polycerate (multi-horned) sheep. Jacobs may have from two to six horns, but most commonly have four. The most common color is black and white. Jacobs are usually raised for their wool, meat, and hides. They are also kept as pets and ornamental animals, and have been used as guard animals to protect farm property from theft or vandalism and defend other livestock against predators.
Laura Frazier, Middleway, WV Member Since February 2012 Artist Statement I have loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember - especially of nature and wildlife. I'd never considered investing in a good camera and was happy with any old point and shoot that took a decent photo - that is until I finally picked up my first DSLR in the Fall of 2010! I was totally hooked on the quality of the photos and now I'm continually practicing to improve my skills and my photos. I love taking nature photos, but my favorite subject is birds. I am always out in search of a new bird or looking for my next photo subject - wildlife, flowers, butterflies, trees - just about anything that attracts my eye. I never go anywhere without my camera because that next great photo op could pop up at any moment. I started this page after I had some friends express an interest in purchasing my photos. I can't thank them enough for giving me that little push to send me in a direction that I find I love tremendously!
I hope you enjoy my photos. Thank you for browsing and shopping in my galleries! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through Imagekind's e-mail.
