Studio 1482, New York City Member Since May 2014 Artist Statement Studio 1482 was formed in 2005 to create an artist cooperative that furthered the members common beliefs in promoting a higher level of taste, aesthetics, and social understanding in visual communication. Their guiding principles are: Drawing is the basis of, communication is essential to, and cultural influence is an inextricable part of illustration and design.
The seven founding members who make up the studio come from diverse creative backgrounds. Boasting more than 25 years of professional experience, their collective resumes include work in the areas of reportage, publishing, animation, advertising, editorial, graphic design, concept development, fine art, education and more. Their efforts have been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Communication Arts, American Graphic Design and the Rx Club, to name a few.
Working with our clients, be it independently or together on larger projects, each of our members brings a unique point of view and personal understanding to every assignment, striving to create the most effective communication possible.
