Artist Statement Basically you could say that I have it made!
I am the IT and Network manager for a small corporation in rural Pennsylvania. I love to work on computers. I am married to a wonderful woman, Jenny, who is the love of my life and my inspiration. Jenny is now a full time minister for 2 churches.
So we both have jobs helping other people, which is very rewarding. We aren’t rich, monetarily, but we have everything we need. We are rich in spiritual gifts. Our children and grandchildren are healthy and happy and we thank the good Lord for His wonderful blessings every morning when we pray together. Sure… we still complain sometimes but we know that we have been very richly blessed indeed.
My father passed away very unexpectedly in 1999 (he was 69 years old and seemingly in good health). But it wasn’t until Jenny lost her father a few years later that I got the idea of creating images of our loved ones in the clouds. (I was teaching PhotoShop at the time) Those first pictures gave us some peace and joy but when Jenny came up with the idea to put Jesus in the picture…well…it was just awesome. What would I do without her? It was great to see our loved ones with Jesus.
Then I started putting all our loved ones together with each other and Jesus. It is really a joy to see them all together, even our relatives who never met here on Earth are together now in heaven and I just love putting them all together in my pictures. Soon I was making pictures for all our friends and relatives. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that I have brought some peace and joy to someone who is hurting. I started a website called Heavenly Images where I take orders for Jesus and Loved One memorial pictures.
On September 11, 2001, I was instructing computer classes at Compu-Tech Learning Center. After sending our students home I created my picture “Jesus Wept”.
Jenny and I both like to share in our love for Jesus and to spread the Word anyway we can. Jenny just completed her first book and will be publishing it very soon. It is called “The Miracles and Parables of Jesus”. It contains all of the miracles and parables of Jesus with all the gospels. So if the miracle or parable appears in all 4 gospels, you can see and compare the different versions at the same time. I loved proof reading it before it went to work each morning. It’s an easy and fast read. Jenny is also working on a new website called the “Shepherds of Love”.
I am also a songwriter, musician and singer. I cut a 12 track CD in 2007 called “Good Morning Lord”. All the tracks are available for free download at our church website, yeagerzion.org. I have produced several music videos for some of my songs which you can find on YouTube (barryctlc). I plan to put videos of all my songs on YouTube eventually.
I recently started a blog site called “Jesus-is.us” that I use to express my feelings about God and two other sites called “Good Morning Lord.net & .org. These sites will feature my music. Please visit. Thanks and God bless you!
