In the words of Victorian author Amelia Murray MacGregor:
John Grant (1810-1879). Grant was permitted, on the grounds of age, to wear trousers rather than the kilt like the rest of the Queen's retainers. He retired as Head Keeper in 1875, and on his death the Queen wrote that she felt very much 'the passing away of this old, favourite & faithful servant, of my beloved Husband, - bound up with our first brightest years, in the dear Highlands. In the background, a view of the mountain Lochnagar on the Balmoral estate.
DEZINE DESIGN is an online space created especially for artists & photographers working in far-flung places, who have neither the resources (due to the remoteness of their locations) nor the opportunity to market their own work. Due to our interesting cross-section of participating artists, in our galleries you will find an unusual and eclectic variety of artwork & photography.
In addition, you will see galleries here which form part of our 'Shops with a Mission' program, whereby DEZINE DESIGN donates a significant proportion of sales revenue to good causes (charities & non-profit organizations) around the world. For example, please take a look at the MacLeay Prints Gallery, which forms part of our Tartan Zone: 33% of all DEZINE DESIGN's revenue from sales in The Tartan Zone is donated to The Scottish Tartans Authority.
After browsing through our images here, please feel free to visit DEZINE DESIGN, or take a look at our Wild Web Stores where you can enjoy a wider range of our products.
PAPER & FRAMING TIPS: All the paper choices on offer here at ImageKind are excellent papers, with different textures to suit different looks. Personally, we love the 'Somerset Velvet' paper, but the 'Enhanced Matte Paper' (Epson) is also a very good option, and is less expensive. We have suggested frames for all of our images, but of course it is up to you to choose which frame (with or without mats) you prefer! We hope you enjoy browsing through our images.
