Artist Statement I love working with soft pastels & color pencils, and doing children’s portraits & illustrations. In 1991 received an AAS degree for Graphic Design / Illustration. When I had my second child, I started doing pastel drawings of my girls from pictures I had taken of them, and I did some of family & friend’s children too. With 5 children of my own now, I love the endless expressions and situations that they get into, and I try to capture this in my children’s portraits. I also love teddy bears, mermaids, flowers, animals, birds, butterflies, and nature, so you will see these images in my gallery, as well as photographs that I occasionally take. Right now, I am working on some new artwork, so please be sure to stop by again to see what’s been added to my gallery.
