Description This digital painting is one of several versions that began with a photograph taken in September, 1998, at the Houston Museum of Art. It includes an Impressionistic treatment of light and form, with a virtual crackled eggshell texture an lots of emphasis on the beautiful pale golden color that poured through the gallery that day. This is a fun gift print, sure to bring warmth and sparkle.
Faye Cummings Member Since March 2007 Artist Statement I've been involved in the arts for 30+ years. My paintings have been displayed in both group and solo exhibits and have been featured in various publications. My work is included in private and corporate collections.
From 1986 to 1998 I produced over 100 acrylic and acrylic collage paintings in thematic series, sometimes accompanying the images with corresponding poetry. Early series explore issues of social concern. Later bodies of work are figurative explorations of light and color with an emphasis on human dignity.
Since 1997 I've enjoyed learning about digital art and exploring a variety of software programs. Regardless of the medium my work is a celebration of people, nature, spirit and life.
