Artist Statement Tina Parish is a full time abstract artist based in west Michigan. Before working full time as an artist, she worked in graphic design as a Marketing Director, designing images, websites, stationary, invitations, posters, mailers, etc.

Tina grew up around design and creativity. Her mother, Barbara, was an interior designer and custom furniture builder. Parish, like her mother, learned early on that she enjoyed creating beautiful things with her hands. What Tina enjoys most about abstract art is freedom of expression. Creating images based on mood and emotions. Her favorite mediums to work with are professional artist quality acrylic paints and mediums, and canvas.

Parish opened her studio with the intent of helping those in need. She chooses two charitable organizations each year to which she donates 10% of her profits. In addition, she creates paintings for charity auctions benefiting those in need. This allows her to do what she loves while helping others.
