Artist Statement I live 30 minutes from Barren River Lake (in Kentucky, US), and travel there at almost every time of the year to hike and take pictures. I prefer fall and winter the best, for not only is the water low on the lake-side, but there is few people because it's so cold.

Most of my photographs are of trees, flowers, mushrooms and the lake itself. I generally try to avoid having people, cars or other hints of humanity in my photos.

Unfortunately, I have not gotten close enough to any wildlife to take a picture, with the exception of a turtle.

In addition to photography, I paint with acrylic and make clay sculptures, though you won't see any of them here.
