Description We all need time alone to reconnect with ourselves.I painted this for my elders who worked hard and hustled their whole lives to make good for the family. This is my wish for them: to live as many moments of clarity, simplicity, & self-connectedness as possible. Its important to step back from any negativity we face and live in a place of peacewherever that may be, real or imaginedand just stay there for a while. Make time stop. Create your own lucid dream by doing something you love. Everyone deserves that. With love from Hawaii,~Emi

I was born & raised in Hawaii surrounded by beautiful artwork, scenic landscapes, & culturally blended people. Creating art was always what brought out my best qualities and connected me to a world without boundaries. I became serious about being an artist at age twelve, taught myself to draw & paint realistically, and eventually found my niche in portraiture and landscape painting. Although I am primarily self-taught, my study of art includes four years at The University of Hawaii at Manoa.

I adore owls and birds, and I’ll be adding my new paintings in a collection based entirely on them. I also love painting vibrant landscapes and subjects that combine the beauty of my home with my Japanese ethnic background.
