Description This is a print of a watersoluble graphite drawing by Jeanne Rewa. Watersoluble graphite is a fun medium which involves drawing with special pencils, then blending the graphite with a wet brush. The result is the rich tones of graphite with the texture of watercolor.Visit Equine Art by Jeanne Rewa at www.eajr.com for more art and information about custom portrait commissions.
Jeanne Rewa Member Since November 2006 Artist Statement An avid horselover, possibly since birth, I have been drawing horses since I could first pick up a crayon. My artistic ability has increased alongside my knowledge of horse anatomy, motion, and character. I have worked with many types of horses, training, riding, and showing. I work in various media on paper including graphite pencil, watercolor, water-soluble graphite, ink. Chinese brush painting is another primary medium I work in, learning about this art form while living in China, through independent study, and with teachers.
