Description When I was a young girl, I vividly remember going to the movie Born Free. I loved the endearing story about a rescued lion cub and in it were the beautiful panoramic scenes shot in Africa. But most of all, I loved the movie soundtrack and the theme song which bore the movies title. In my mind I can almost hear it now Born freeas free as the wind blows, as free as the grass grows, born free to follow your heart. This is the spirit in which Lion of Judah was painted. Historically, lions are a symbol of royalty and authority. This image is placed on flags, banners, and incorporated into logos all around the world. The word Lion in Hebrew is Are and depicts the image of power and strength. A lion tackles and tears his prey. On the wild African plains he is a fierce, powerful enemy and is often referred to as King of the Jungle. In the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis Aslan, the Lion is described this way, Hes wild, you know. Not like a tame lion. The scripture in Revelation 5:5 echoes the sentiment. And one of the elders said unto me, weep not: behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. The Lion will roar. He will bring peace, and rule the world with justice and perfect love. I have a dream when that glorious kingdom comes, we will all sing the song Born Free.
