Artist Statement Artist Ed Headley had not painted since his teacher Sidney King told him "You've got some talent" during an art class at Rappahannock Community College in 1985. In 2006, he purchased a set of paint brushes at a yard sale, and the rest is history, involving the creation of 25 prints and a series of notecards - mainly water scenes from the Northern Neck of Virginia, including fishboats, workboats, watermen, etc. "At age 66," he admits, "I am still trying to come up with new ideas." He started in oils but switched to acrylics and always welcomes suggestions.
