Artist Statement Janos L. Sison’s interest in photography started in the spring of 1977, when he was given a camera during a trip. Subsequently, he pursued photography at the Chinese Correspondence College of Photography during his undergraduate years as a language major in another college. Ever since that moment of discovery, he has always been a passionate photographer.
He believes that a photograph should not be just a mere record of the depicted object; it must also convey emotion, (be it peaceful, sad, happy, humorous, or erotic...) Moreover, a picture is also a reflection of a photographer's consciousness. Photography is a declaration of his feelings for his subject. To feel beauty with intensity is the only way can a photographer express his passion.
