Artist Statement Tarana Mohan was born in Bihar, an Indian State. Bihar is famous for its Madhubani paintings, also popularly known as Mithila paintings. This type of painting is never planned. Artists pick up a brush, think of a mythological or traditional theme and start painting. Tarana got interested in this unique folkloric style of painting, attracted by its vibrant colors, down-to-earth ideas, liveliness and intricate patterns. She hopes that you like her work. She travels the world but currently lives in Patna, capitol of Bihar.
