Artist Statement Sage Art & Design is a truly unique company specializing in fine art, handmade crafts & digital photography—founded by husband and wife, Sal & Karen Saint Germain who are lifelong artists.

We started Sage Art & Design because we were looking for a way to market our wares & talents. As artists, we care about the environment and about socially responsible living. As often as possible, we integrate materials from natural areas like forests, rivers, beaches and mountain trails. Or we try to use recycled & reclaimed objects such as broken jewelry, vintage lamps, old doors & windows, or just about anything that inspires us. For years we’ve been creating art & handmade crafts for ourselves, friends and family, and now we want to share our products with you. The art we sell helps support our dream to live off-the-grid in a self-sustaining green home, which we plan to design & build ourselves.
