Description This poster displays a quote by Gandhi; 'God has no religion.' Many find this quote controversial. Gandhi was not suggesting that religion itself is to be condemned or obliterated. He clearly stated, 'I believe in the fundamental truth of all great religions of the world.' Does God choose favorites? Many religionists choose to believe so. Do you really think God prefers the NY Yankees over the Tampa Bay, Rays? The popular belief that the atrocities of the world were the consequence of organized religion fuels the zealot atheists. I believe in respecting the right to believe or to not believe. And, though I respect atheists, they too can act like self-righteous bible thumping missionaries - trying to convert everyone to their way of thinking. The atrocities of humankind against humankind has never needed a religious excuse; any excuse will do for those who suffer from hatred, bigotry, greed, and various forms of fear-based psychic maladjustments. Banning people because of their religious conviction or their national origin from our communities does not create harmony in our world. To the contrary, it only creates more violence. Yes, in the name of organized religion, pedafilia and avarice has plagued our world. However, It also affects our universities and our governments. No institution is exempt. Gandhi summed up this issue quite well when he stated, 'As long as you derive inner help and comfort from anything, keep it.' Peace! -Spadecaller
