Description Man overboard. Etching on 8' x 6' copper plate, state I. 2010. --- A sail boat looks tall when one is floating in the water. Once I volunteered to be the man over board in a MOB exercise. A first the boat keeps going away from you, until the rest of the crew realizes the problem. The boat moves away fast which is scary. When the boat comes back for you, it has to find you and the struggle to get back on board is still ahead. Form personal experience I know this is not always easy even with the crew lending a helping hand. - Imagine how frighting it must be to fall over board at night.
