Artist Statement London.

Over the years I have experimented with a number of mediums, and to be honest, paint was the first of a few mediums I gave up on - it was just too difficult to get the right tones. I had no such problems with a pen though and that's what I started drawing with as a teenager. Although I still love the earlier pieces, most of my work was created with ball point pen and lacked colour.

However, as with most people, our lives change and so do the small details. Living in China for two years opened my eyes to a whole new world of colour. When I moved back to London I decided to give paint, my hated adversary, another chance and here are some of the pieces that emerged. The pieces all share a common theme visually. My love of the ball point pen and all things black and white has married with my new respect for colour.
