Description This beautiful sunset sparked an image in my dreams one night. After visiting the Vatican City in Italy, I was so inspired by seeing all of the great art. There was one stained glass window that really stood out and spoke to me. The sunlight shone through the beautiful colored glass and made Mary and her child come alive. I pay tribute to this beautiful piece of art by combining it with one of natures beautiful sunsets.

Artist Statement Throughout the years photography has been my passion. I have gone through many different phases as a photographer.  Starting early in life with a camera in my hand has shaped the way I see the world. Today, I see things much differently than when I started documenting events as a news photographer.

I remember reading somewhere that “Change is the only constant in life”, and this has certainly been true for me. 

Many of my photographs take on a surrealistic nuance. I take photographs from the past and bring life to them. Sometimes I add a splash of color, change the contrast or create a collage from many images. For me, this goes way beyond capturing what I see. It allows me to have unlimited control where I can create a mood, fantasy or futuristic city.
