Artist Statement I am a self-taught artist. I like several different mediums--oils, pastels, pencil, pen and ink, acrylics mainly. A lot of subjects interest me, but I do seem to be drawn most to nature and animals. My other vice is horses. Since my last one died last year I concentrate on my daughter's horse now! I do commissioned work, primarily animal portraits, but other subjects as well. My work was accepted into the top 200 in the Arts for the Parks competition 4 times, and has won several other local and national awards.
