Artist Statement My love of photography began when I was given my first camera at about the age of eight. This love was further inspired by my dad who shares my passion for capturing the moment and preserving it forever.
As I grew older, I had a teacher in High School who nurtured my passion and taught me how to look at the world through a camera lens. To focus on what is most important in the shot. I think you can apply the same advice to everything in life. Just look for the best parts and focus on them.
Some of my favorite childhood memories were of going to the photo department at Clark Drug Store to pick up my pictures that had just been developed. I would tear open the envelop in anticipation, hoping that even just a few of them would turn out. I couldn't wait to share them with everyone. Photography has come a long way as it has leaped into the digital age, but my desire to share my pictures with everyone has never changed. I hope that you enjoy the world through my pictures!
I know that my photography is gift from God that touches my spirit and awakens my soul, to experience the love of God and to share His beautiful creation.
