Description Original oil on canvas, 8x20. This painting is one of my favorits. My wife had just backed bread, and I asked for some. I told her it was for my new still life. Well, I didn't mention the mice or cat.The mice were caught in a catchem alive cage. I would study them, photograph them and then take the critters about a mile away and let them go. The cats name was Marmalade. He would offten look from the kitchen into my living room studio. It was a fun painting to do. I hope to do more like it soon.

I recently retired from the Klamath Falls City School District, in Oregon. I am also a retired FAA Air Traffic Controller, where I spent 16 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. I and my wife of 45 years, have down sized by selling off our 5 bedroom home in Klamath Falls, getting rid of over half of our stuff and moving to Sacramento. We now live in a 1978 "retro" Mobile Home, in a nice Mobile Home Park, near Rancho Cordova. It has taken me 3 years to make this move and I am finally ready mentally and financially to be that full time artist.
I draw every day, and try to paint everyday. Soon I will start a daily ArtBlog. My favorite sports are swimming and biking.
I accept fine art commissions, as well as commercial illustrations.
