Artist Statement I paint what inspires me. I loved painting and art when I was a child; but somewhere along the way, life took over. I came back to art in 2003 after the loss of a job, when I had to look deep inside and find what I really needed to do. Although I still must work to earn a living, painting gives my soul a chance to fly and create, for that brief time I am able to paint, I am totally consumed to create an image that is beautiful.

I never create art that has a shock value, I figure that life is hectic enough and I wouldn't want to come home to a painting that is hung only for that. I hope others share my feeling and enjoy my paintings.
