Artist Statement William Fiesterman is an award winning animator and digital artist who has worked in the electronic game industry since 1992. In the 1980's he was an animator and director at Will Vinton Studios, a stop motion production company, where he animated such projects as the California Raisins TV commercials, Claymation TV specials, and special effects for such films as Disney's "Return to Oz". William animated segments of music videos for artists such as John Fogerty and Michael Jackson. He also was a primary animator on the first clay animated feature length film, "The Adventures of Mark Twain by Huckleberry Finn". "The Great Cognito", a short film that William co-animated with Barry Bruce was nominated for an Academy Award in 1983 for best short animated film. Since 2010, William has segued into a new career as a fine artist and portraiturist. William has a commercial website, a daily sketch blog, a Facebook page with daily sketch postings, and his own channel on Youtube.com with over 200 time lapsed movies of him creating digital paintings in Photoshop with a digital tablet or creating paintings in watercolor and gouache.
