Description This is the view from Ernest Debs Park just northeast of Los Angeles and adjacent to the Craftsman Period town of Hermon. The angled crest catching the light is actually the road cut for Via Marisol. Each year, jacaranda trees fill the valley below with lavender blossoms.
Michael McHenry, Los Angeles Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement Michael McHenry is a CSU-trained freelance artist with a BA in art history. He has created works across many types of traditional and contemporary media, including drawing & painting, video & performance art, installations, and cast bronze. He has done a wide variety of commercial & fine art commissions over the past 30 years. His current body of work includes landscapes in oil pastel and acrylic, as well as a growing series of celebrity portrait drawings in soft graphite.
