Description This painting was inspired by my dad. On labor day weekend 2007 I got a chance to check out my dad's new telescope I got to see the planet Jupiter and it's moons, a couple of shooting stars and a meteor shatter into the earth's atmosphere. Really cool stuff. On this painting I used acrylic and oils.
Julia Kapp, Franklin Member Since February 2008 Artist Statement I live in the small victorian town of Franklin, Pennsylvania. Painting is my life long passion. I am a self-taught painter and I am learning as I go. I stopped painting to pursue a career and start a family. In 1993 I attended Pittsburgh Technical Institute and graduated in 1995 with an Associates degree in Graphic Design. I've been in the field for over 12 years. Now, after building a stable foundation in my life I am finding time to paint again and loving every minute of it!
