Artist Statement Matt Thomas is an artist in St. Augustine, Florida, who implements both tangible and virtual techniques to create exquisite and unique visual works of art. Matt enjoys working on artworks that highlight local and regional, spiritual, nautical, and natural themes. Over the years Matt has endeavored to expand his artistic skills, often maximizing technology, in order to produce distinctive works. He especially enjoys creating wall art.

Matt's background includes graphics design, photography, videography, amateur mechanical drafting, embroidered wall art, web site design, singing, music writing and composing, and playing guitar for fun. He also has a variety of other professional experience. He was an electronics technician in the U.S. Navy. As a veteran, he was a civilian software engineer of products for the cruise line industry, the merchant marine industry, and the Navy. More recently Matt worked as a website designer.
