Artist Statement Born in Houston, Texas 1987. Robert C., raised by both his mom and dad until the age of 4. The parents got a divorce and home was a train wreck ever since. Robert was living with an abusive father till 15 years of age. During the years of living with his father, Robert never cared much about his school grades. He just wanted to live life and draw. Robert drew lots of girls in his classes over the junior high years. None of them ever found out. Robert was one of those people where, if he'd try to get caught doing something, no one would notice. This had it's advantages to study girls his own age.

Drawing girls in class was something to do when class became boring. The teacher babbling on about stuff you'd never use in the real world. Robert always chose the girls he found attractive to put on paper. Still to this day, Robert's classmates probably have no idea they were studied. In a non-creepy manner of course. Sometimes if the girl was very attractive, he would draw a sexual themed picture.

Robert always appreciated the female form. It wasn't until his father asked him to draw a female at age 13, that he'd start expressing it. Finding the right girl to draw wasn't really a challenge. Every month, Robert would find a new girl attractive. Though he would never talk to them, he'd always be jealous when they had dates or a boyfriend. Rarely he'd draw the boyfriend getting murdered. He definitely thought about it a lot. He just wanted the girl all to himself until he could move on to another girl to draw.

15 came around and he left to live with his mother. Moved to the Saint Louis area. Robert sort of stopped drawing girls for a while. He missed all the girls from his former school. Every time he went out, he would day dream of him running into them on random occasions. Now disappointed, Robert just went back to living regular school life. He took art class as a freshman. A girl crushed over him, but she never told told him until the next summer. Shame. Eventually, she broke his heart and went off to college. Hasn't heard from her since.

After high school, Robert didn't do much with his life except draw. He didn't believe in having a regular job like everyone else. To him that was bogus. Robert went 5 years being a recluse and pursuing his art skills. He did eventually get a few jobs here and there. The typical food industry jobs. Not worth anybody's time.

In 2007, Robert found his appreciation for Japanese women. At first it was the schoolgirls. Eventually moving towards the Idols and Gravure models. All of the first several paintings and drawings of Japanese women weren't too promising. The main problem he had was with getting the eyes to actually look Asian. Sometimes he'd draw them too big or too open. Making the girl always look American. Over time with practice Robert got better at eyes. Drawing daily, he'd improve unlike anyone else he'd know.

in late 2008, Robert obtained his first tablet. At this time, Robert stopped staying in realism and went towards hentai. Not his best subject. He cared mostly about drawing women receiving punishment using tentacle monsters.
He once saw a clip from "Sexy Magical Girl" of the girl getting raped. Enjoyed it, obviously. This phase lasted for only 1.5 years. The idea of torturing a girl got boring. It had lost it's magic from the beginning. Robert would go back to realism.

2009 was mostly drawing celebrities since everyone was doing it. He thought let's try to fit in. Of course, he never did get the recognition he deserved. Sadly the only way for him to get attention on Deviant Art was to watch people then un-watch. They never found out. What harm could it have done? It was mostly like saying "Thanks for stopping by my page. Now fuck off if you're not going to comment my work."

Robert struggled to be noticed. Everyday was a battle with heartbreak and disappointment. The best Robert would get on Deviant Art, were messages telling him people Favorited his work.
