Description Mixed media on newspaper and cardstock.A series that I started as coffee table book to send to David Lynch. These where a release for me while doing male nudes.A place to play with texture instead of detail and formal shadow. For me these works are a place of artifacts: washed away graves, bleached bones, nests, lost watches, my father's old masonrey tools, rusted nails, and the shapes that nature covers and then slowly unmasks for us.
Michael Dawson, Pensacola Member Since June 2007 Artist Statement Our colorful scenery, rich culture and salty air all mix together to provide the backdrop of some of most intriguing and provoking works. We are always honored to have artists from outside the area to join us and intermix their wonderful histories and beautiful pieces of art with ours.
We are all as one in art. There is no race, no color, no sex and no hate in art if we all stand as a community of one. As artists, we can show the rest of the world that there is a global harmony to be had if only we all were to open our eyes to the magic and wonder of this new era of talents and technologies.....of earth and space.
