Artist Statement I'm LITO DOCTOR, or known also as OTIL ROTCOD, the reverse of my real name. I'm 47y.o., SINGLE, and I'm from the PHILIPPINES. Presently residing here in Francisco Homes, San jose del Monte City, Bulacan. And I'm a "PAPIER MACHE" artist. I create beautiful creations out of paper, specifically from pulped paper. The themes of my art pieces have a touch of ASIAN ARTS, ABSTRACT, NATURE, SUPERTITIOUS BELIEFS, and even the complexity about LIFE. This fascination of mine to papier mache arts, started when I saw a DOCUMENTARY about "TOWN FIESTAS" here in the Philippines. Where a segment was featured about: people making pinatas and masks out of old newspapers. Where I told myself that I could do that and even better with my own version and with my own style. That started it all. It had become my passion. Frankly I'm not an arts graduate, no background, nor experience, just pure accident that I had discovered this hidden talent of mine. That I actually create beautiful art pieces with my bare hands just from paper. Crafted lovingly by hand to create a one of a kind work of art. where each pieces is unique because no one piece is the same.
