Artist Statement I have always carried this passion with me since my childhood days of sketching and drawing the pop art that I was exposed to. Today, that pop art characterizes my style of work and creative process through different subjects of concentration. The technical aspect of each medium adds on to this identity leaving me with new discoveries in my craftsmanship.

Every piece of my artwork has it’s own imagery which alone, depicts a narrative, message, and context to communicate to the viewer in simple metaphoric references. These references are the foundation that help relate my journey of life at different stages of interesting experiences or obsessions, in principle a self-portrait in progress. It is these themes that I use any medium I feel appropriate from printmaking to photography.

My influences thrive on works from Egon Schiele and his creative style to contort the human figure, or Peter Saul’s Pop art that deals with contemporary controversial issues in this world. I attempt to investigate how to relay a simple metaphor or message across to the viewer immersing them in my own internal representation of it, but altering the way of thinking about it opening up for a new interpretation and conversation.
